Nikolai Danilovich returned to Russia approximately 1912-1913.

6/3/2000:
NAP: Grandmother's father was Nikolai (Nicholas) Danilovich Seminishev. Her mother was Doonya (Dorothy) Vasilovna Pahomov. Her mother died in San Francisco about 1924. Your notes state that her father went back to Russia in 1912-13. Why did he go back to Russia?

GJP: Why did Grandfather Nikolai Danilovich Seminishev ( my mother's father) go back to Russia and leave his entire family in San Francisco about 1924?? My father told me that there were two reasons: (I) he longed for his homeland (2) he did not get along with his wife (grandmother Doonya ).

I found a death record for Great-grandmother Seminoff. Dad's record indicates her name is Doonya; however, this name also is Jennie in American.

I called Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Colma (1601 Hillsdale Blvd, Colma CA 94014) and spoke with Tony Lam. He gave me the grave information, but unable to give date of death or cause of death. The death certificate would have that information. There is no stone or marker on her grave; someone would have to go in person to the cemetery and a grounds crew person would estimate where the grave is based on estimated size of the grave. He/she would count the number of sites to estimate the burial plot.
