On August 26, 2005, Margaret R. Dickey passed away after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Margaret was a long-time resident of Franklin Village, Michigan, prior to retiring to South Carolina in 1984 with her late husband of 53 years, William S. Dickey.

Mrs. Dickey was a graduate of Michigan State University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She taught Music in the Detroit Public Schools for 12 years. Later, she went on to become the Assistant Village Clerk for the Village of Franklin, and then the Assistant Township Clerk for Southfield Township, Michigan.

Margaret was an active member of Franklin Community Church, and served as President of the Women's Society of Christian Service, a member of the choir, as well as many other roles within the church.

Mrs. Dickey was survived by a daughter, Mrs. Margaret L. Hackstedde of Bloomfield Hills; a son, William S. Dickey, Jr. of Farmington Hills; and a grandson, Kevin Andrew Dickey.

Margaret was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
