John J. Rondini, 82, of Harwinton, husband of Lucy (Buscemi) Rondini, passed away on Sunday, (August 24, 2008) at Cherry Brook Health Care Center in Canton.


Born in Simsbury, John was a former New Britain resident moving to Harwinton over 20 years ago. A U.S. Navy veteran, John was employed as a mason. John was a member of St. Ann's Church in New Britain and the Marchegian Society also of New Britain. He loved hunting and fishing with his three sons and loved having his entire family around him. We love him with all our hearts and will miss him deeply.


Besides his wife Lucy, he is survived by three sons, John J. Rondini, Jr. and his wife Regina of Kensington, Raymond Rondini and his wife Marjorie of Vernon, and Evo Rondini and his wife Debra of Harwinton; three daughters, Lucille Stawski and her husband Joseph of New Britain, Beverly Kosloski and her husband Thomas of Bristol, and Patricia Ciarcia and her husband Carl of Farmington; a brother, Evo Rondini and his wife Rosemarie of New Britain; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Paul Rondini; a sister Dorothy Odishoo; and a brother, Anio Rondini and his wife Fanny.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 101 North Street, New Britain.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
