Charles F. Hess, Proprietor of the Gig Harbor Hotel at Gig Harbor, and a pioneer resident of Pierce County, died yesterday morning of Bright's disease at the age of 71 years. A widow and children survive the deceased who was widely known and leaves many friends. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o'clock, interment being at Gig Harbor."
He second married Mary Margaret Nelson, September 9, 1890 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. No issue.
