She married Ernest Benefiel 12-24-1921 and they had three children: Velma Rose Benefiel Buckman, Norman L. Benefiel, and Ernestine Benefiel Hall. Ernest died in 1968. She then married Albert Pals; he died in 1989.
Nora lived in Newton her entire life. She lived to be 99 years old, just 2 weeks shy of her 100th birthday. Surviving her were her daughter Velma Rose Buckman of Newton, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-stepgrandchildren.
