Claudean Dimmitt Arnold, the daughter of Clinton and Edith Dimmitt was born July 28, 1928 in Mount Vernon Indiana. The early years of her life were spent in the City and State of her birth where she joined the A.M.E. Church in Mount Vernon under the Pastorate of Reverend Matthew Lowe.

In 1946 Claudean united with the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church of Indianapolis, Indiana where she served on the Usher Board and as chairperson of the Maggie Baker Missionary Society Unit #2 and the Steward Board.

She was a 1946 graduate of Crispus Attucks High School and also graduated from the Vocational School of Practical Nursing of Terre Haute Indiana in 1967. Claudean was a Licensed Practical Nurse for twenty-two years.

She was married to Rev. Elmer W. Arnold and to this union four loving children, Deborah, Rebecca, Timothy, and Rene' were born.

Claudean D. Arnold departed this life at Methodist Hospital on May 14, 1989 at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 16 days. Claudean leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Lillian Wright, Maxine Wright, Florence Waller, and her twin sister Glowdean Jackson; two brothers, Clarence Dimmitt and Charles Dimmitt. She was preceeded in death by one brother, Henry Dimmitt Jr. She also was blessed with eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
