Died, at 12:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 29, 1908, at the residence of her son, C. L. Willey, 1251 West Washington street, Mrs. Ellen Augusta Willey, wife of Eben Glover Willey, aged 68 years, 5 months and 15 days.
Deceased was born at Griggsville, Ill., on April 14, 1840, removing to this city with her parents, Captain and Mrs. Caleb Hopkins, in 1843, she having resided here continuously since that time and being one of the oldest residents in the city at the time of her death. In 1861 she was united in marriage to Eben Glover Willey in this city.
Mrs. Willey is survived by her husband; five sons, Charles, John, Caleb, George, and Richard Willey; two daughters, Mrs. Hale John and Mrs. Fred Bewsher; four brothers, Levi P., Eben, George and James D. Hopkins; two sisters, Mrs. A. W. Kessberger and Mrs. Charles Bales, and sixteen grandchildren, all residing in this city. IL State Register, Springfield, IL 9-30-1908
