Ree-Ree was born on April 15, 1957 in New Britain and she was the 4th child of five to the late Michael Calistro and the late Marie (Spielman) Huck of New Britain/Southington. She graduated from Southington High School in 1976 and had various jobs throughout her life.
Her family included her siblings, Teresa "Terri" Fabrizio of Unionville, Michael J. Calistro of Loveland, CO (pre-deceased), Mark R. Calistro of Longmont, CO and Robert J. Huck of Kensington; three nieces, Crissy Bacheller, Jennifer Fabrizio, Sandi Calistro and Amber Calistro (pre-deceased); three nephews, Mark Calistro, Jr., Nathan Calistro and Stephen Calistro.
They will all keep her in their hearts and in their memories. Her smile and laugh will live with us always. She had a strong love of animals. Her willingness to open her heart to love was a gift she shared with the world. There were many trials in her life, which she got through, although many were very difficult. Yes, Ree Ree will be missed but never forgotten.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, September 23 between 4 and 5 p.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Street, Bristol.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
