Died, at the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Smith, North Twelfth street, Monday, Aug. 27, 1906, of consumption, Lewis Smith, aged 24 years. The young man was born on a farm eight miles northwest of the city and had lived in Sangamon county all his life. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Rosie Lorch of Alton, Mrs. Katie Andrews and Mrs. Carrie Cordier, both of this city, and by four brothers, John and Joseph Smith of Alton, and Fred and Emanuel of this city.
