Died, at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 16, 1905, at the residence of her son, M. D. Hocker, Springfield, Mrs. Sallie M. Hocker, aged 80 years, 5 months, 11 days. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the residence and at the United Brethren church. The interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.

The decedent came to this state from Beaver Dam, Ky., with her husband last October and had made her home with her son since that time. She was a devout Christian, having united with the Methodist church at Providence, Ky., when she was 12 years old. She transferred her membership to the Methodist church at Goshen, Ky., with which church she remained a member until her death.

She was married Dec. 22, 1847, to N. B. Hocker. She is survived by her husband; four sons, M. D., W. H., N. B., and E. W. Hocker of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Nannie Ingram of Williamsville, Mrs. Fannie Chinn of Tilton, Ind., and Mrs. Alice Stevens of Beaver Dam, Ky.; four brothers and three sisters of Kentucky and twenty-four grandchildren.
