Son of James L. and Susan Cramner Lamb. Married in Goshen, N. Y., Dec., 1868, to Anna Pougher, a native of England. J. C. Lamb was engaged with his father in pork packing, and later was proprietor of a foundry and machine works in Springfield, Illinois. Member of board of directors of the Springfield Marine Bank.

Survived by wife, sisters Mrs. Caroline Black, Mrs. John M. Palmer and Mrs. G. R. Brainerd.
