The Eads' history reveals that Isham traveled to Indiana from Virginia via Kentucky---
where he met and married Elizabeth "Betsy" Sowder, ca 1816 and they are in the 1830 Census of Pulaski Co., Ky.
We have never been able to prove Isham's parents. (Would appreciate any data).
Isham and Betsy were the parents of 12 children:
Catherine (m: Peter M. Deckard), Veny (m: Michael Sowder), Wm P. (m: Nancy J. Miller), Polly (m: Andrew J. Temples), Lucinda (m: Martin P. Deckard), Granville B. (m-1 Rose Ann Shryer, 2-Mary Ann Lewis), Milton G. (m-1: Nancy Ann Covey, 2-Rebecca Jane Smith), Elizabeth Jane "Eliza" (m: John D. Smith), Lewis (m-1: Mary Ann Sowder, 2:Martha Dow), Mary Ann (m: John E. Arney, Jr.), Wade H. (m-1: Malinda Deckard, 2-Louisa Conner), and Richard (died young).
Isham and Betsy lived out the rest of their lives in Marshall Twp., Lawrence Co., Indiana.
They are buried in Kinser Cemetery, the stones long gone. (When you stand at the cemetery gate, they are on the left side, back corner of fence, along with other family members.)
