Dolores V. Kornely
Dolores V. Kornely, age 81, of 6494 County Highway B, Shoto, in the town of Two Rivers, entered into eternal life on Monday evening, May 19, 2008, at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, surrounded by her loving family.
Dolores was born on Jan. 21, 1927, in Shoto to the late Emil and Marie (Hall) Peterik and was a lifelong Shoto resident. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc and graduated with the Class of 1943. She was first married to Gerald Kornely and later married to Lloyd Kornely on June 19, 1948, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1988. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. Mrs. Kornely was a volunteer resident cook for the town of Two Rivers Fire Department for their monthly meetings for many years. She was active with the Shoto Conservation Club where she was a lifetime member. Dolores worked in the food booth at the Manitowoc County Fair for more than 35 years and served on the Election Board for the town of Two Rivers for more than 20 years. She was an avid NASCAR and 141 Speedway racing fan, where she was very supportive of Matt Kenseth and Bandit Racing. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Brewers and the Packers. She also enjoyed traveling, listening to Karaoke and spending time with her family.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law: Donna and Ken Pasterski of Green Bay; Christine and Russell Reynolds of Mishicot; Debra and Karl Walesh of Two Rivers; and Kay Lynn and Randy Bauer of Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law: Warren "Pat" and Vicki Kornely of Kellnersville; Michael and Yvonne Kornely of Francis Creek; and Bob and Dawn Kornely of Manitowoc; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother: Mark (Mary Ann) Peterik of Manitowoc; one sister: Agnes (Woodrow) Aulik of Francis Creek; her sisters-in-law: Dorothy Raye of Marietta, Ga.; Ione Kornely of Shoto; and Betty Kornely of Manitowoc. Many nieces and nephews, and a very special friend: Eunice Braun, of Shoto, also survive. In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by one daughter: Wendy Sue; by one granddaughter: Nicole Kornely; and by her stepfather: Otto Horner.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday May 23, 2008, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, with the Rev. Paul Paider officiating, with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State St., in Mishicot. There will be a 7:30 p.m. parish wake service led by Fr. Paul on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. on Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
