Lonnie married Ilene Rhodes Goolsby
in 1932. Their first child, Faye, was born in 1933. They eventually had 3 more daughters and 3 sons.
They were share croppers for a long time until in the 60's Lonnie was able to buy a lumber mill. This enabled them to buy a house and land of their own.
Though poor they were healthy and raised almost everything they ate. Iileen was a skilled seamstress as well. She could take the smallest supplies and turn them into food better than most wealthier people could imagine.
They had 43 grandchildren and an infinite number of greatgrandchildren
Lonnie was a very respected man in and around Benton County.
