Paul "Rob" Robison, 67, San Diego, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Thursday, surrounded by his loving family, after a seven-week struggle with cancer.

Rob was born to Margie Barry in Altoona, Pa. He graduated from Altoona High School, Class of 1959.

After serving in the Navy, he then became a civilian employee for 25 years of the Public Works Center.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris "Mert" (Ammerman) Robison; his daughters: Cindy Fely (husband, Siliva) of Oceanside, Calif., and Paula Small (husband, George) of Fitchburg, Mass.; and grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Noah, Kana and Lily.

He enjoyed camping, traveling, bowling, driving his '41 Ford and especially supporting the activities of his grandchildren.

Family, friends and neighbors were his greatest treasures.

Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, and a service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, both at El Camino Memorial Park, San Diego.
