Jennie was the fifth child of eleven born to Walker Lindsay Cook and Louisa Ann Green, both born in Kentucky. Jennie had six sisters and four brothers. Jennie married Ira S. Toliver in Illinois. They had 1 daughter named Wanda Irene. Jennie died early at age 21 when Wanda was about three years old. Her husband, Ira, remarried.
