Betty Gustafson
Betty M. Gustafson, 89, of rural Oakville died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at her home.
Born Jan. 15, 1919, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harry and Mae Barngrover Cavender. On Aug. 25, 1940, she married Eric Gustafson in Burlington.
Mrs. Gustafson farmed with her husband in Yarmouth. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and Burlington Business College. She enjoyed antiques, sewing, flowers and reading the Bible.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Diane Stoller of Ellington, Conn., and Donna Perdelwitz of Oakville; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, where the family will receive friends.
A private family funeral for Mrs. Gustafson will be Thursday. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Hope Haven in Burlington.
