Wanda G. Spring, age 74, of Oklahoma City, passed away October 31, 2008. She was born June 2, 1934, in Caney, OK, to Dorse & Grace (Troutman) Needham. She enjoyed pitching fast pitch softball in a church league in Waco, TX. Wanda was an excellent cook and seamstress. She also sang, played the guitar, and loved to dance. Wanda is survived by her husband Sherman, of the home daughter, Rhonda McCaig & husband David, of OKC; son, Greg Spring & wife Kathy, of Clarkston, WA 2 grandchildren, Jeremy Spring, of Del City & April Mosher & husband Kent, of Portland, OR 1 great-grandson, Ethan Mosher, of Portland, OR 2 sisters, Laura Gillespie, of Durant, OK & Martha Cloe Crowell, of Coleman, OK and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents brother, Earl Needham, & 3 sisters, Dorothy Rounsaville, Willie Horath & Lola Vaughn. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Midwest City, with Brother Gerald Lunsford officiating. Interment to follow at Moore City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK. (Published in The Oklahoman on 11/3/2008)
