Aged 81y 3m 5d. Nancy's grave is unmarked, as shown by the windmill in the photo. Grave location found by using cemetery plot map. There are hundreds of unmarked graves in Block 21, the largest Block in the cemetery.

Died, Tuesday night, July 23, 1901, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. B. Tomlinson, West Calhoun avenue, Mrs. Nancy Ann Gillock, aged 81 years. Came to Sangamon County with her parents when 7 years old. Married G. B. Gillock at age 21, and he died exactly fifty years ago.

Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. N. B. Tomlinson and Mrs. John Tobin of this city; and three sons, George and Lee Gillock of Springfield and John Gillock of Taylorville; one brother, Turl Robertson of Cotton Hill; and one sister, Mrs. William Hudson, of Eureka Springs; sixteen grandchildren. Funeral will be held at the home of her daughter this afternoon. The remains will be interred in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Note: Nancy's maiden name appears in the Illinois State Archive Marriage Index, 1763-1900, as Robinson, not Robertson. However, many other sources indicate the family name is Robertson. Her brother Turley Robertson is buried in Brittin Cemetery
