A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in Hillside Chapel for John Frederick Baisch, who died April 10, at age 80.

Mr. Baisch was born June 3, 1917, in Stanton, N.D. He had lived in the West Linn area for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a pipe shop supervisor for Crown Zellerbach for 45 years, retiring in 1988. He married Fran Schommer in 1975.

Survivors include his wife; son, Jay of West Linn; daughter, Joni Miller of Oregon City; step-son Leonard Brownlow of Milwaukie; stepdaughters, Carol Brownlow of Salem, Rene Curtis of West Linn and Leona Rennie of Milwaukie; brother, Rueben of Woodburn; sisters, Frieda Parra of Milwaukie and Florence Richardson of Oregon City; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests rememberances to the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home in care of V.F.W. Post 1324, P.O. Box 11, Oregon City, Ore. 97045.
