Ted was born on a northern MN farm, son of norwegian immigrants. He worked hard on the farm from a young age. Entered the Marine Corps in 1941 before WWII, suffered a mental breakdown in boot camp, discharged with schizophrenia. Homeless on and off throughout life and never married. Did landscaping and odd jobs, and was a very hard worker with a warm warm heart.
