Maiherpri
Birth: unknown, Egypt
Death: unknown, Egypt

Egyptian Courtier and Warrior. He was born during the eighteenth dynasty, and is believed to have been a companion of one of the pharaohs of ancient Egypt, possibly Thutmose IV. He bore the title "Fan bearer on the king's right hand", and is believed to have been a warrior because his name translates as "The Lion of the Battlefields". On his death he was given the unusual privilege of a tomb in the Valley of the Kings. His tomb was discovered in 1899 and contained many treasures including aquiver of arrows and two gold dog collars. His mummy is now kept in Cairo museum. (bio by: js)
