Louisa Pierce was born in Logan County, Illinois in 1854 and passed away suddenly in the early morning of July 3, 1931, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Joe Dale. She lived for a time in Scioto County, Ohio before coming to Kansas in 1879. She has lived in Stafford County since that time, with the exception of a few years.
Wife of John Wesley Pierce
She was the mother of six children, five of whom are still living. She has been active in church work all her life and was a member of the Friends Church at Stafford at the time of her death.
Funeral services were held the afternoon of July 4, at the Friends Church in Stafford, and were conducted by Rev. Jones, the pastor, assisted by Rev. Christian. Interment was made in the Stafford Cemetery.
