Borne, Howard Charles "Teed", 87 went to be with the Lord Friday November 28, 2008 with his family at his side. He was a US Army Veteran. He was born November 23, 1921 to Jesse and Ada Nunley Borne who preceeded him in death along with his brother, Louie; sisters, Leatha Ann Borne, Rosa Gibbs, June Gibbs, and Ruby Caldwell; grandson Donovan Borne; granddaughter, Lisa Ann Scissom. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bonnie Sweeton Borne; son, Charles Ronnie (Brenda) Borne; daughters, Lynda (Douglas) Ruehling, Alice (James) Sweeton, JoAnn (Johnny) Ware, Anita Thompson and Annah (John) Shrum; brother, Lonnie (Abbie's Dad's special sister-in-law) Borne; sister,willie Mae Layne; grandchildren, Tim, Jeff, and Rocky Ruehling, Chad Schoenmann, Melinda Littell, Vanessa Tate, Crystal Campbell, Allen Sweeton, Melissa Slaughter, Angela King, William "Sam" Ware, Treva Smith, Kevin James, Tiffany Ractor, Darrick and Jim Borne, Jessica Johnson; 25 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 2 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Howard Fults, Mike Rigsby and Lloyd Vandergriff officiating. Burial was in the Fall Creek Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements were made by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
