TICKNER, Mrs. M. – Mrs. M. Tickner, mother of Mrs. Wirt died last Saturday afternoon at their home on Holcomb Street, of paralysis of the brain and Bright's diseased. She had been sick for several months. The deceased was born in Ohio and was eighty-two years of age. She had been a member of the M.E. Church since she was twelve years old. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Wirt, she leaves a son who resides somewhere in the west. Grandma Tickner suffered greatly during her illness, but she bore it with great patience and fortitude. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.R. Nelson, after which the remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery.

{Card of Thanks} I desire to thank the many friends who so faithfully and kindly assisted in the nursing and caring for my dear mother in her affliction and death, and too in the burial (sic.) I cannot express my appreciation of the many kind acts and the much needed attention at this time of sore affliction. Mrs. E.R. Wirt.
