Mrs. Othel Willey Dies - Mrs. Othel Willey, 79 residing at 1304 Fourteenth street, passed away at 6:30 a.m. today at her home, following a lingering illness. She had been in failing health for some time but had been confined to her bed of only the last four weeks. Her death was due to cancer of the liver. As Miss Mary Lockner, she was born on Jan 16, 1855 in Rochester, N.Y. the daughter of Mr. and Mr. Adam Lockner. When 13 years of age the family moved to Nebraska, and settled on a homestead southeast of Columbus. On April 15, 1871 she was united in marriage to Vincent Bock in Columbus. To this union was born 11 sons and daughters. Two of which Rosa and Adam, with Mr. Bock preceded her in death. Her sons and daughters are Lorence, Frank and Vincent Bock, all of Bellwood. Anton Bock of Genoa, and George Bock, of Columbus and Mrs. Frances Cady and Mrs. Mary West, of Bellwood. Mrs. Caroline Beierle, of Columbus, and Mrs. Josephine Beierle of David City. In the year of 1879, the family moved to Lesure, Minn., where they resided for two years, and then they returned ito Nebraska and settled on a farm southwest of Bellwood, where they resided until 1910, when they moved to Columbus to reside. Mr. Bock passed away here. On Aug 6, 1927 she was married to Othel Willey at Madison, Neb, who with her sons and daughters survive her. The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral home until 9 a.m. Monday when it will be removed to the family home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the home and at 3:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Bellwood. Rev. G. W. Snyder, pastor of the Columbus Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Bellwood cemetery.
