Elizabeth "Bettie" JoAnne Boggess Watson, 76, of Lumberport, died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2008) at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. She was born on May 25, 1932, in Lumberport, a daughter of the late Hobert George and Hazel Martin Willis Boggess. On July 1, 1950, she married Paul J. Watson, who survives her. Also surviving are one son, Paul A. Watson, Canonsburg, Pa.; two daughters, Shannon Watson Davis and her husband James, Lumberport, and Shandra M. Muscar and her husband Frank, Hepzibah; five grandchildren, Felica Posey and her husband Shane, Christian D. Hedrick, Farrah J. Hedrick, Brandon J. Davis, all of Lumberport, and Reannah F. Muscar, Hepzibah; three great-grandchildren, Cameron D. Hedrick, Addisyn R. Posey and Alexious J. Floyd; close cousins; a special sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Watson retired from Wilson's Furniture in 1976 where she was a bookkeeper. She was a 1950 graduate of Lumberport High School and a graduate of West Virginia Business College in 1951. She was a member of the Queen Esther, chapter No. 11, O.E.S., Clarksburg. She loved genealogy and her family. She also enjoyed devotional music. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, Route 19 South, Shinnston, from 6-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, with Pastor Homer Ham officiating. Interment will be in the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Watson family.
