Harriet J. Mills of Peru, Ind., passed away at Miller's Merry Manor of Peru on Dec. 28, 2008. She was 80.
Harriet was born on April 10, 1928, the daughter of Howard H. Hott and Pearl (Ramer) Hott. Both preceded her in death.
On Aug. 3, 1952, she married Robert E. Mills. He passed away on July 7, 2003.
Harriet was a member of First Christian Church and was also a homemaker. She was a 1946 graduate of Peru High School and she was also a graduate of Fort Wayne Business College.
One daughter, Karen Comerford (husband Carl) of Peru, survives.
Also surviving is a grandson, Eric Comerford (wife Kelly) of Houston, Texas, a granddaughter, Andrea Feller (husband Matt) of Peru and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Comerford, of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
Funeral services will be at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third Street, on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. with Rev. George McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Flowers Leedy.
