Ann Hickman, 78, Shawnee, died Friday, May 1, 1998. She was born December 21, 1919 in Bowlegs to Bob and Mamie Kelly McCants.

She graduated from Bowlegs High School and married Herschel Hickman in Holdenville on April 12, 1941. She and her husband were ranchers in Macomb from 1941 to 1975, when they moved to Shawnee where she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Gary Cantrell of Shawnee, four sons and a daughter-in-law, Harold and Rita Hickman of Woodward, Gary Hickman of Tulsa and Robert Hickman and Jay Hickman, both of Oklahoma City, sister Veva James of California, eight grandchildren, five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Molly McCants, Mary Folsom, Sadie Atkinson and Gertrude Gunther and five brothers, Roy, Orville, Herschel, Marcy and twin Dan McCants.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Garden, Seminole. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
