Wiley H. Denton, 85, of Springfield, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wiley, a retired coal miner, was born Sept. 14, 1873, in Old Stonington, the son of Isaac and Minnie Seifreit Denton. He had been a resident of Springfield for the last 40 years.
Surviving are four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Palmer and Mrs. Fred Elder, both of Springfield; Mrs. Minnie Scheersmedt, Dayton, Ohio.
Services at Staab Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
