Funeral services for Summer Dawn Rust, age 25, of El Reno will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, at Redlands Community College. Rev. Gerald W. Van Horn will officiate. Interment will be in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
Summer was born Aug. 11, 1983, in Oklahoma City to Don and Susan (Morse) Rust. Summer was a homemaker and was currently attending Redlands Community College.
Summer passed away with her children, Kirsten Rust, Autumn Rust, Teagin Rust and Evynn Garas (aka "Sister Bear") on Jan. 12, 2009, in El Reno.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bobbie and Barbara Rust; maternal grandparents, Eddie Morse and Edith Nail; great-grandmother Ethel Morse; and uncle, Tommy Morse.
Summer is survived by her mother, Susan Rust of Carson City, Nev., and father, Don Rust of Springfield, Mo.; brothers, Robbie Booth of Tulsa, Tanner Rust of Carson City, Nev., Dyllan Rust of Carson City, Nev., and stepsister, Terra Buzzard of Springfield, Mo. She is also survived by two nieces, Hailey Booth of Tulsa and Kaitlyn Carlson of Springfield, Mo., and her great-grandmother, Virginia Mincks of Stockton, Mo. Other survivors include a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends and people she "adopted" as family, and her puppy, Sebastian. She is also survived by her very special friends, Tamra Loyal, Ivory Chiles, Mariah Grant and Tiana.
