FUNERAL SERVICES MONDAY FOR MRS. FRANCES B. CADY

COLUMBUS TELEGRAM, AUGUST 29, 1947

Mrs. Francis B. Cady, 72, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Thursday at her home in Butler County, following a lingering illness since March.

The daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Vincent Bock, she was born March 26, 1875, in Butler County. When five years of age, she moved with her parents to Minnesota and resided near Le Sueuer for two and a half years. They returned to Butler County and on Oct. 10, 1897 she married Oscar Rochon at David City. To this union were born a son Edward, and a daughter, Edna, now Mrs. R. D. Smith of Richland.

On Sept 15, 1902, Mrs. Rochon married George M. Cady at Columbus. They made their home on a farm five miles southwest of Bellwood and Mrs. Cady had since resided there.

She was preceded in death by Mr. Cady, two brothers, Lawrence and Adam Bock, and one sister, Mrs. Rosa Jacobs.

Mrs. Cady is survived by two sons, Edward Rochon of Columbus, and George W. Cady at home; four daughters, Mrs. R. D. Smith of Richland, Mrs. Mary Ellen Clabaugh, Columbus; Frances Cady at home, and Mrs. Florence Cook of Pawnee City; three sisters, Mrs. Mae West, Bellwood, Mrs. Josephine Beierle, David City, and Mrs. Carrie Drawbridge, North Loop; four brothers, Anton Bock of Los Angeles, Frank, Bellwood, Vincent, York, and George of Tacoma, Washington; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the home five miles southwest of Bellwood with Rev. Walter H. Jackson, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Bellwood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Sunday until 4 p.m. Sunday when it will be taken to the home for the services.
