Goldie was a daughter of George B. & Mary Elizabeth (Cramer Halliwell (Halliwill). Goldie and Paul were childless, but reared their niece, Mary Alice Halliwell after the death of her parents, Glen Clark Halliwell and Mamie Alice Barton. The Hale's also helped to raise Mary Alice's son, Glen "Butch" Weaver, after the death of his father. Goldie owned and operated a beauty salon in Seville, Medina County, Ohio. In 1947, the Hale's moved to Wadsworth, Medina County, Ohio.

WADSWORTH -- The 50th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Paul T. Hale of 412 Seville Rd. will be observed with an open house from 2 to 4 p. m. Sunday at First Christian Church. Mr. Hale and the former Goldie Halliwell were married Feb. 16, 1918, at the Seville Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank L. Knapp. He is 74 and she is 70. Mr. Hale is retired after 30 years as a machinist for the Ohio Boxboard Co. in Rittman. He is a member of Seville Lodge F&AM. They have resided in Wadsworth 21 years. They have no children but they raised Mary Halliwell and Glenn H. Weaver since childhood.
Her death was filed in the Ohio Death records as Goldie M. Hale, age 74, white widowed female of Medina County, Ohio died 29 June 1972, Wooster, Wayne County, certified by physician, Volume 20934, Certificate 49412. The couple were interred on the north side of the main drive.
