Myers, Ruby, 84, of Franklin Street, New Martinsville, WV, formerly of Shattuck, OK, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at home.
She was born September 21, 1924 in Shattuck, the daughter of the late Henry and Molly Klein Schoenhals.
She was a member of the New Martinsville United Methodist Church; the Eastern Star New Martinsville Chapter; Friends Club; and a past member of the New Martinsville Civic League.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Myers; a son, Kenneth Myers; a daughter, Melinda Kay Myers Ross; a sister and eight brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (Fred) Goddard of New Martinsville; two sons, Steven Myers of Sugar Hill, GA and Michael (Joanna) Myers of Hershey, PA; 11 grandchildren, Richard Goddard of Allentown, PA, Craig (Gina) Goddard of Cheraw, SC, Elizabeth (Mike) Glow of New Martinsville, Susan (David) Moreschauser of Greer, SC, Matthew (Susan) Myers of Simpsonville, SC, Christian Ross of McDonald, PA, Curt Ross and Kylie (Herb) Ross of Weirton, WV, Hannah Myers of Hershey, Kathleen (Hector) Oropeza of Bethesda, MD, and Jared Myers of Hershey; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was loved by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am at New Martinsville United Methodist Church, 10 Howard Jeffers Drive, New Martinsville with Pastor Renẻ Wilt officiating.
Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
