Bettie Ann (Umstead) Witt of District Heights, Maryland, departed this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. She was the beloved wife of L. Edward Witt and loving mother Theresa Grate (Jay), Karen Witt (Larry), Louis Witt (Anne) and Alicia Clugh (David). Also left to cherish her memory are a brother, Joseph Umstead (Yong-Soon); six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 520 Viers Mill Road, Rockville, Maryland. Bettie was a Find A Grave volunteer for over 8 years. She appreciated the opportunity to honor her loved ones here and it is only fitting that her memory is honored here as well.
