He removed from Washington county, New York to Knox county, Illinois. William and Lucinda married August 3, 1837 and it was the first marriage performed in Knoxville; Rev. Newell officiated. They began their home at Center Point where they lived 28 years. Mr. Heath put on the first siding on the first house that had siding in Galesburg. The whole family moved to Wataga 1856. They had 8 children, two now living, James and William. Funeral from residence was Sunday afternoon. April 15, 1882.
