Herman A. Watson, 69, of Norman, Oklahoma died Friday, February 14, 1986. Services were held at the Westside Church of Christ with Mr. Leon Dennis and Mr. Ron Haas officiating. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery with Primrose Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Watson was born February 18, 1916 in Norman, and lived in Norman all his life. He retired from the Norman Fire Department as Fire Chief after 16 year of service, and later was retired from the University of Oklahoma Safety and Fire Inspection Department. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Gertine Watson of the home; one son, John A. Watson and his wife La Verne Watson of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Jane Kuhlman and her husband Larry G. Kuhlman of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Active bearers will be Glen Buckminster, Tommy Bridge, Glen Miller, Herbert Hickman, Gene Collins, and Henry Kuhlman. Honorary bearers will be Frank Miller, Marian Bauman, John C. Greer, Harold Wood, Albert H. Webb, Dr. J. Kin Pirtle, Dr. Michael M. Blue, and Al Jansing.
