‎ ‎ ‎ Mira Elizabeth Batt Mira Elizabeth Batt of Caldwell Idaho died Tuesday March 19, 1996 at her home.
‎ ‎ ‎ Funeral services Will be held Friday March 22. at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church 824 E Logan Caldwell. The Reverend K D Cole of Deer Flat Free Methodist Church Will officiate. Graveside services will follow at the Wilder Cemetery. Arrangements for the services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell
‎ ‎ ‎ Mira was born February 1, 1916 at Arlington Wash the youngest of six children of Arthur and Mira Bartels Moll. She was reared and educated in Arlington graduating from high school there in 1933. She attended the University of Washington graduating in 1938 With a degree in Secondary Education majoring in French, English, Spanish and Library Science. While attending the university she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and Totem Club Honorary. In 1938 and 1939 she taught school at Langley High School Whidbey Island Washington and Snohomish High School Snohomish, Washington respectively.
‎ ‎ ‎ On May 30 1940, she married Wendell C Batt, moving to Salem, Ore. where they had a pharmacy. After living and working there tor one and one-halt years they moved to the Batt family farm in Wilder, Idaho. Wendell and Mira reared three sons in Wilder, Fred, Warren and Norm. Fred and Norm are still on the family farm.
‎ ‎ ‎ Mira was an active volunteer in reading for the Idaho Commission for the Blind for more than 15 years. She was a 45 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Worthy Matron Beulah Chapter #75, Wilder, Idaho. She was a life-long lover of Boston Terrier dogs and enjoyed travel, reading, fishing, golf and bridge.
‎ ‎ ‎ Survivors Include sons, daughters-law and their children Fred and Ellen B. Batt and Laura and Ann of Caldwell, and Norm and Ellen G. Batt, and Wayne, Wendy, Katie, and Nicholas also of Caldwell; brothers and sisters-in-law Macey and Margaret Hyde of Portland, Ore, Harold and Janice Batt of Caldwell and Frank and Gladys Andres of Caldwell.
‎ ‎ ‎ She was preceded In death by her husband of 371/2years, Wendell, her son, Warren, her parents, three brothers and two sisters
