EDWARD CHARLES CARRIGAN, 70, former owner of Monumental

Service, died Sept. 27, 1995, in Overland Park, Kan.

Family and friends may call from noon to 7 p.m. Monday at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, 22 W. Kiowa St., with the Rev. Theodore Haas officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

Mr. Carrigan was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Boston to Edward Francis and Grace M. (Young) Carrigan.

He was married to Rosemary (O'Lear) Carrigan, who survives.

He also is survived by four sons, Edward M., John P. and Robert J., all of Colorado Springs, and Paul F. of Olathe, Kan.; five daughters, Annmarie Copeland of Olathe, Ritamarie Smith of Lakewood, Teresamarie Easton of Stuttgart, Germany, and Rosemary Ann Brown and Jeanmarie Moore, both of Colorado Springs; two brothers, Francis of Westminster and Alfred of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Rita King of San Antonio and Frances Hightower of Mesquite, Texas; and 13 grandchildren.

His daughter Helen Elizabeth is deceased.

Mr. Carrigan served in the Army from 1943 to 1945.

He had been an area resident for many years and was a member and a deacon at St. Mary's Cathedral.
