Ralph Paine, 75, Dies at Hospital

      Ralph C. Paine, 75, a lifetime resident, died at St. Joseph's hospital on Sunday. He was a resident of 501 North Eighth Street.
      Mr. Paine was born here, April 4, 1895, and had worked for the material department of the Burlington-Northern Railway Co. He was a veteran of World War I, member of VFW, Zion Lutheran church and Paul Bunyan Lodge 380 of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. Surviving are his wife, Esther; a nephew, Ernest Rasmussen of Sacramento, Calif. He is preceded in death by one sister.
     Funeral services are planned at 1:30 p.m. tuesday at Zion Lutheran church, the Rev. M.L. Kretzschmar officiating with interment in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Friends may call at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral home untll 11 a.m. Tuesday, and at the church from noon to time of service.
