CPL. NICHOLAS J. MAKSISKO
Nicholas j. Maksisko, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Maksisko, 321 Sixth street southwest, died Dec. 3, 1944, of wounds received when his machine gun was knocked out by a German shell in the Saar region, Germany. He was a member of the 357th Infantry, 90th division of the 3rd Army, entering the service March 28, 1942, and had been awarded the Good Conduct medal, Combat Infantry badge, and the Purple Heart which was awarded posthumously.
