Rangvold Groff, 92, died Friday, March 19, 1999, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Clements, with burial in the church cemetery. There will be a Parish prayer service 7 p.m. Monday, followed by a Catholic Aid Rosary at Sturm Funeral Home.Visitation will be 4-8:30 p.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield and 9-10:30 Tuesday at the church. He is survived by daughters, Shirley and husband Bennett Juenemann of Sanborn, Angeline and husband Anthony Kidrowski of Pennock; sons, Sheldon and wife Sharon, or La Paz, Bolivia and Loren and special friend Darla Fisel of Springfield; 29 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother Oliver of Tracy; sisters, Gunda Hansen, of Wisconsin, Christine Nelson, of Elbow Lake and Ann Manning, of California. He was preceded in death by wife Margaret in 1987; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Groff; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Olga Pederson and Mabel Nelson; brothers, Chris, Halvor, Nels, Albert and Milton.He was born Sept. 5, 1906 in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County, to Ole and Mary (Skow) Groff. He married Margaret Prom on Sep. 5, 1934 in Springfield. He farmed northwest of Springfield in Sundown Township. He moved to St. John's Lutheran Home in 1991. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Clements and St. Thomas Catholic Aid.
