Obituary - Mrs. Ed Bass (Cynthia Spring Bass)

Mrs. Ed Bass of Dodge Township died at the home of her son -in-law, Miller Harden in Yell Township, near Centerville on Friday afternoon at 3 O'clock. Death was caused from cancer and the deceased had been ill for some time. She was 56 years of age and leaves a husband, 6 sons, 2 daughters. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 O'clock from the Baptist Church in Mineral Ridge. Rev. J.C. Crawford of this city officiating and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.

She was married the 1st time to Ethan w. Watson 5 Dec 1861 in Webster County, IA. Ethan died in Iuka, MS in the civil war at the age of 24. He was with company I, 16th regiment, Iowa Infantry. Edward Bass was her 2nd marriage.
