Mrs C C Morehouse, wife of G E Morehouse, was born in Quincy, Illinois, September 27, 1858. Her parents moved to Missouri in 1860 and settled in Clark County Missouri, when she grew up and married March 1, 1891. She and husband here lived in Dent County for 22 year.
Mrs Morehouse was sick for about three weeks. Her husband brought her to Salem about a week ago to see some friends when she was suddenly taken worse and died very suddenly at the home of A L Fox's August 24, 1922. She leaves her husband and many friends to mourn her death.
She was a Methodist and lived a consistant life. Her funeral was conducted from the residence where she died by the Rev. McCann August 25, 1922.
