Born August 28, 1930 in Altoona, he was a son of the late Pete and Mary (Fredrick) Luci and
was also preceded in death by a sister Kathy Schwartz.
He retired as a tool and dye maker from the former AMP, Inc., Harrisburg; was associated with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hershey and was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War where he served on the USS LSMR 517. A member of AMP Retirees and Alligator Alley, he was an avid golfer with his favorite course being Parkview, Hershey. He loved to travel with his wife, especially on bus trips and enjoyed doing Word Finds and Jumbles.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 18 years with whom he has been with for 31 years Beverly A. (Neiswender) Luci; daughters Claudia Luci of Mechanicsburg and Ellen Ash of Cypress, Texas; brother Benjamin, husband of Thelma Luci of Harrisburg; sisters Deanna, wife of Robert Brennan of Chesapeake, Virginia, Laura, wife of Richard Schleich of Altoona, Judie Luci of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Paulette, wife of Michael Dellaria of Schaumburg, Illinois and Joanne, wife of Kenneth McCallum of DesPlaines, Illinois; and grandchildren Michael, Alex and Melissa. He is also survived by and was much loved by his nieces and nephews; a special young lady Kate Neiswender, and those that tugged on his heartstrings the most, Clyde, Bonnie and Jake. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 13, 2009 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 212 Cocoa Avenue, Hershey, with the Rev. Cindy A. Brommer officiating, preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
