Gordon N. Curtis, 82, of Unionville, beloved husband of Lucy (Hadsell) Curtis, died Tuesday, (March 9, 2004). Born in Unionville, July 10, 1921 son of the late George and Ellen (Knibbs) Curtis, he lived in Unionville his entire life. Prior to retiring he was employed by Northeast Utilities. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II as a medic. Gordon was a member of the Evening Star Lodge AF and AM #101 in Unionville for over 40 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Douglas O. and Carol G. Curtis of Terryville; his daughter, Elizabeth E. Curtis of Unionville; his sister, Ruth N. Curtis of Unionville; and his grandson Robert Wilcox. He was predeceased by a brother Wesley Curtis. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main Street, Rt. 4, Unionville, on Friday, March 12 from 12-1 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. in The Ahern Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Avon.
