William Andrew Thompson was the son of Mary Jane Ayers and Isaac N Thompson. Mary Jane was the daughter of Daniel Ayers and Mary Seale of Hardeman Co TN. In June 1866, Daniel wrote to a relative, telling what had happened to all his children. Excerpt from a letter written by Daniel Ayers to a nephew, Friday, June 22, 1866: "Mary widowed 10 years, living Prairie Co AR, has land in Dunklin Co MO." She did live in Prairie Co AR and married in Lonoke Co AR to George W Scullings. They were in the next census listed as Scallorn. Then she was living with her son, Will Thompson. William Thompson married Susie Plummer in Lonoke Co AR.
