William Levi Wilson, 81, of Fort Gratiot, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at home following a short illness with cancer.
He was born Thursday, May 5, 1927, in Fremont Township the son of the late Frank and Hattie (Donnenworth) Wilson.

His marriage to Elouise (Pud) Molesworth was Saturday, June 26, 1948, at Yale United Methodist Church.

He was a 1944 Yale High School graduate and former member of Lakeshore and Yale First Presbyterian Churches.

In 1962, he co-founded Mid-Michigan Materials, Jeddo, along with his father-in-law, Vern Molesworth and his brother-in-law Ted Molesworth, and became sole owner in 1968. He had served on the board of directors for

Michigan Aggregate Association and the former Yale Community Hospital.

Surviving in addition to his wife "Pud" of 60 years are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Rand Smith of Brown City and Sandi and David Hess of Grosse Pointe Park, son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Pattijo Wilson of Yale; six grandchildren, Korrie (Pat) Musitano, Kelly Bosma, Katelyn Smith, Brandon (Cheryl) Hess, Nick Hess and Robert Wilson, and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Brown of Yale and Donna Taylor of Melvin, and brother Frank Wilson of Lexington; sister-in-law, Frances Wilson of Port Huron and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Ryan G. Smith (1997), brothers, Russell and Howard Wilson and sisters, Pauline Noble, Jean Shell and Maribell Reid.

At Bill's request cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held.

Inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.

Arrangements are by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale.
