MEADE COUNTY MESSENGER OBITUARY – 08/27/1997
Malana Bernadette Ray Pike, 94, Payneville, died Sunday, August 24, 1997, at the North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 9, 1903, the daughter of Moses Jefferson and Mary Catherine Rhodes Ray. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by 7 children, Mary A. Brown, Midway; Aloysius Pike, Lawrence Pike, John Pike, all of Payneville; Teresa Myers, Elizabeth Hobbs, Louisville; Bernadine Schimmel, NY; 38 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 23 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, from St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Rev. Jim Schook officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Hager Funeral Home.
