He was born May 5, 1914, in Denver. On June 19, 1977, he married Helen Lenore Smalley in Northglenn.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Carol Richer, Dorchester, N.H., and Lori Dobson, Rhode Island; a son, George Jr., Rhode Island; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
